2012 Isle of Elsi update

Hello future Isle of Elsi readers!  I recently found this nice review of last year's Dragons! comic.  It was really exciting for me to hear about a real-life kid who was enjoying an Isle of Elsi story.

Since I have been doing a lousy job of updating this site, I thought I would post a quick progress report.  That way, any of you who are patiently waiting for this project to begin will know what lies ahead.

Pictured here is my Isle of Elsi binder, which now contains a recently finished, third draft of the "origin" Isle of Elsi story (which chronologically takes place before any of the other stories that have been released).  It's about 100 pages, and it sets up all the characters and how they know each other and their first adventure together, as well as the foundations for many adventures to come.  It needs one more round of edits and corrections before I am ready to start drawing it.

Unfortunately, I am extremely busy with my day-job right now, so I don't have a lot of time to draw.  Hopefully this summer, once things get back to normal, I can really dive in on this project and build up a nice buffer.  I plan on rebuilding this site in the Fall and then kicking off the webcomic once and for all before the year is through.

I know that's a long way off, but after this project gets going, I'm not planning on stopping for a really long time, so I don't want to start it up until I'm ready to take it seriously.  In the mean time, I appreciate all of your patience!
