First Store Links Are Up!

I have added a few links in the store section of this site, to books that have Isle of Elsi stories in them.  The latest such book is Elfworld Volume 2, Number 1, which is pictured here on the left.  This great fantasy comics anthology was published by Family Style, and you can order it on their site.  It's got a 9-page Draziw the Wizard story called "A Menagerie of Messengers."

Hopefully someday there will be lots of cool stuff on that store page, like books ENTIRELY filled with Isle of Elsi stories, but for now, this should get it started!

My Christmas Present

Since it is the holidays, I thought I would post this video of the coolest Christmas present I got LAST year (2009), which had an Isle of Elsi theme, to say the least!

That was made by my amazing toy designer girlfriend Claire Sanders.  Her website is not up yet, but it will be, in 2011.   Speaking of 2011, there is going to be some really cool Isle of Elsi news in the new year, so keep checking back!  I'll blog about it here.  Okay, happy holidays everyone!

Microcosm Publishing 2010 Catalog

At the very end of 2009, I was asked to illustrate the 2010 Catalog for Microcosm Publishing.  When I asked them for some suggestions, they said I could draw anything I liked as long as there were some books and zines involved.  I decided to make some illustrations using all the main characters from my upcoming Isle of Elsi comics.  Here's the wraparound cover, which has Draziw the Wizard reading comics with the wolves, the Stalagmites and Stalactites shelving boxes of books along with R.J. Jr. and Nogard the Dragon reading a nice big pile of books.

On the inside of the catalog, Microcosm also ran a number of spot illustrations:

Here's Draziw the Wizard using his magic wand to make copies of the first issue of his "Wiz Zine."

This one has a wolf singing, while the 'ites dance and sing along.  One Stalagmite is even crowd surfing!

Here the 'ites are working together to mail a letter.  The post office box is covered with stickers from some of my favorite zines.  

And lastly, here's R.J. Jr. delivering some zines DRAGON style!
